Matanzas, Chile. Under construction. In the middle of a slope that descends towards the Pacific Ocean, there is a house located in a ravine north of the beach of Matanzas. This 180 m2 project is built diagonally to the terrain, containing the house program in its greatest length thanks to a wooden skeleton with concrete elements. As a result of this maneuver, an inner courtyard is formed in the middle, protected from the wind that whips the place, giving the user a tamed green space connected to the views. Thus, through a negative operation, the central courtyard of the house appears and becomes the heart that connects the different corners and spaces of the project, becoming the articulating element between the common areas, service areas, access and bedrooms.
